Settings

Settings
 
CompleteProject allows several aspects of the program to be customized. All program customization occurs through the settings window. Various aspects of the program can be configured and these aspects are grouped according to the columns listed in the far left of the settings window.  The right side of the settings window is used to display the configuration details for the selected settings topic.

Settings View

1. Settings View
The settings view can be used to choose the particular group of settings you would like to configure. The following settings views are available:
 
  • General - allows you to set basic application information. For more information please see general settings.
  • Tasks - allows you to set a list of custom statuses which can be used to populate the task status drop-down box. For more information please see task settings.
  • Task List Grouping - allows you to set criteria and ordering rules by which your task list should be grouped. For more information please see task grouping.
  • Calendar - allows you to set default properties for your calendar. For more information please see calendar settings.
  • Public Holidays - allows you to specify a list of public holidays which can be used when setting project dates or viewing your calendar items. For more information please see holiday settings.
  • Reporting - allows you to turn program and time tracking on or off. For more information please see report settings.
  • My Account - allows you to set basic account information and change your password. For more information please see account settings.
  • User Profile - allows you to set various properties of your user profile. For more information please see user settings.

View Details

2. View Details
The View Details section of the settings window is used to display the specific configuration details available from the selected settings view.

Help

3. Help
The help button can be used to open a new browser session and direct you to this help topic.

Use Defaults

4. Use Defaults
The Use Defaults command button is used when you want to erase all of your custom configuration settings and use the program defaults instead. Note that the OK button will still need to be used to apply these settings.

Command Buttons

5. Command Buttons
The OK button can be used to save any changes made to any of the settings views. The cancel button closes the settings window without making any changes.
